GAUDY BIGGS

INTRODUCING:

Gaudy Biggs

Explain what your name means?:

I wanted a name to represent me thoroughly as a human being on and off records . Biggs is actually last name so that part was easy. Gaudy by definition means extravagantly bright or showy, typically so as to be tasteless. synonyms: garish, lurid, loud, overbright, glaring, harsh, violent, showy, glittering, brassy, ostentatious; More. I'm all of that from my truth, fashion/jewelry, my mentally, and definitely how I live my life. Its not so much about the superficial things as it is my personality and energy. I stand out in most rooms, I communicate with a loud truth, and I live life loudly. To me these are all valuable things but I also realize that all these things are often looked at as being tasteless ... that's how your interpreted when you move outside of social nomrs and are noticeably different from the average person. Lastly is just fly as fuck lol!

What city and state are you representing?:

Columbia SC

Describe your style of singing or rapping?:

Lyric driven, high energy, suspenseful, comical, blunt, and just literally Unique.
I'm big on the quality of verses and hooks as far as word play, being clever, using double to quadruple entendres, rhyme schemes, metaphors and so on. I craft my lyrics carefully so that the flow and cadence is magnetic and relevant, but the most in depth hip hop lover will be fed and yet still, the common music lover can follow and be excited.

Who inspired you to pursue a music career?:

What inspired my was an era of music more than a single individual. I'm an 80's baby so I grew up on the 90's Hip Hop. From Wu-Tang Clan, Trick Daddy, Nas, Outcast to Jay Z I saw the beauty and depth of words. They did so many amazing things with words that I fell in love with the art. So the 90's era of hip hop inspired me to pursue a music career!

What challenges did you face as a youth in pursuit of your music?:

I really didnt come across many. Pretty typical ... dad wanted me to do something more concrete and certain ... mom supported. Only issue I really had then and now is just working with people you consider your family/close friends. Pride, selfishness, jealousy, and lack of being business minded are cancers in this grind.

Describe your feelings when you’re recording music in the studio:

I feel like I found a loop hole in life. Nothing else exist or is important.

What is the message behind your music?:

you can reach much further than whats common, to think differently ... its ok to have an adverse opinion. Be an individual.

What do you fear the most in this business?:

Only thing I fear in conforming to the mentalities, moves, moral of the the people in the business. I fear not being or living me.

Are you excited to be featured in RNH Magazine?:

Definitely! I was featured a couple of years ago. I was really proud of the time, energy, and professionalism that went into my feature. It looked great and was written the same. I've seen how much the brand has grown in such a short period of time so I'm more than excited to be apart of RNH again.

How can people reach you on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook & etc?:

THAI

Cameraimage

INTRODUCING:

THAi

Explain What Your Name Means:

My birth name is Tatyana. I have two nicknames, Ty and Taty. I originally started out spelling Ty as T-Y until I changed the spelling to Thai. It’s the same pronunciation but different spelling. Thai is short for the Southwest Asian Country, Thailand. People often ask me am I mixed with Asian and Black. So after being asked this question so many times, I decided to change the spelling of my nick name to Thai and to also use it as my stage name.

What city and state are you representing?

Houston Texas

Describe Your Style Of Singing

I have a soft and soothing R&B sound. I like to compare myself to Jhene Aiko. My singing style is similar to her singing style. It’s chill and calm and relaxing.

Who inspired you to pursue a music career?

I’ve been singing since the age of seven. I used to watch the Disney show, “The Best of Both Worlds,” starring Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus and I would sing all of the songs on that show. It was then that my mom realized that I had a singing voice and it was also the moment I found that I love music and singing. My mom encouraged me to join the little Sunshine Choir at our church at the time where I sang in the soprano section and led many songs. I guess you can say that Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana inspired me but my mom encouraged me to go after my dreams.

What challenges did you face as a youth in pursuit of your music career?

I’m still a youth. I’m only 18 years old and I am facing many challenges in pursuit of my music career. But the one thing that’s most challenging is when I am constantly being told, “no” or, “not this time” or, “You’re still young. You have time to grow.” I have been to many auditions and have competed in many talent competitions and those are some of the discouraging things that I have been told. Well when you’ve been turned away so many times you sort of develop a feeling of doubt. Which has happened to many so many times and I have wanted to quit and give up and say, “To hell with it all.” But my mom has always encouraged me not to quit and to never give up on my dreams.  So being turned away so many times has actually become my motivation. If you say I can’t do it then I will work that much harder to prove you wrong.  I am in control of my destiny. I have to believe in myself when none else believes in me. Nothing but positive vibes in my life at this moment.

Describe your feelings when you’re recording in the studio:

When I am in the studio recording, I am in the zone. I’m in my element. I’m in my own little musical world. Nothing else and no one else exists when I’m in the studio, except for my music and getting it right and putting in work. I’m focused and I basically tune everything out and clear my head. I’m in a positive state of mind when I am in the studio.

What is the message behind your music?

My music so far, is about relationships and getting your heart broke, and trying to pick yourself back up and live again. Although, I am 18 yrs. old, I’ve had my heart broken before twice, so my music is based upon my life’s experiences. I want my fans to be able to relate to my music which is why I write music that is real life.

What do you fear most in this business?

The one thing that I fear the most in this business is being taken advantage of and not being taken seriously.

Are you excited to be featured in RNH Magazine?

Yes, I am very excited.

NOREIYEA

INTRODUCING:

Noreiyea

Explain what your name means?

Honestly, I’ve been asked this question a million times and to this day, I still don’t know the real answer
to this lol. So, I always tell everybody the same story. I think my mama was in so much pain that when
she was giving birth to me, she started yelling out letters and it formed my name lol. I’m the one and
only Noreiyea too so I can give my name any meaning I want to but I’m still working on that. It has to be
coldest meaning ever. Legendary.
What city and state are you repping?
I rep Chicago, Illinois. Southside. Southside til I die.
Describe your style of singing or rapping?
Trying to describe my style is like trying to understand the brain of a woman lol……just kidding, just
kidding. But my style is very diverse. I make music that I enjoy. I don’t follow suit of another artist or
what others want me to do. I make music off of my own personal feelings, experiences, future plans,
and expectations. I’m me, just me, only me. I’m very lyrical through a good mix of hip hop/rap, R&B, and
trap. I can go entendre after entendre on a hip hop track, speak about my life on another, do music for
the ladies, motivational music, and then switch it up and hit you with a club banger. It all depends on
how I’m feeling and vibing. And since I produce my own beats and engineer everything myself, I can and
will always be able to get my message out the way I feel it and want it to be perceived. And it’s funny
because I was just talking to my brother and noticed that all my music has a dark, eerie sound to it, yet
it’s very colorful and energetic. I’m new school with an old soul so I call my style that “Instant Head
Banger” lol.

Who inspired you to pursue a music career?

Well, it’s funny because I would’ve never thought I’d actually pursue this professionally. My whole life,
I’ve always been into sports heavy, basketball more than anything else. I even pursued a college
basketball career and attempted to go pro overseas. So, I’ve never truly had the time to really venture
into music the way I knew I would’ve wanted to, especially being a full-time worker and a full-time
student-athlete. But, it’s a combination of things that made me pursue this career. For one, music has
always been a very powerful force in my life. I always looked towards basketball, but music has always
served as my outlet, my stress reliever, my ultimate getaway. Because of my love for music, I naturally
had an underlying passion for it. So, as my bond grew with my older brothers, (Thou Bundy) and (Mr.
Wilson Beatz), who also are artists, producers, and engineers, my drive and passion to become
everything that I am today grew stronger and rapidly. I’m always talking to them and learning something
new from them. Don’t a day go by where we’re not chopping it up and sharing new music ideas and new
beats. I make sure I give thanks for all they’re help too because without them, I wouldn’t be here today
doing all of this. We’re all a team. A great empire in the making. We all bring something very valuable
and different to the table. They really push me to be the great, which I’m very thankful for, and they’re

not “yes men”. They are going to give me criticism regardless of my mindset or feelings and it has never
steered me wrong. And that’s what this world really lacks in this era. But really, we push each other at
all times. And the joy of connecting with them and always progressing inspires me even more everyday
to become greater at this.

What challenges did you face as a youth in pursuit of your music?

I didn’t have many challenges but the few that I did have were major, especially in my eyes, for my
career to really manifest itself. For one, it takes maturity on all levels to become a better artist, and with
me being very impatient and young, I struggled really finding my own sound and growing in all areas for
a while. When I first started out, I was always looking and waiting for beats and always ended up using
YouTube beats, if my brothers didn’t give me some of the one they made. So, after dealing with that for
so long, I eventually learned how to be my own producer, which translated over into me becoming a mix
engineer as well. You know, becoming my own boss. Also, nobody really gave me the knowledge on the
whole business side of things. Nobody really wants to help you, especially if they feel like you’re
threatening their plans of success and clout in the industry. After all these years, I’m just now finding the
little tidbits and golden jewels that I’ve been missing and searching for. So, if I’ve learned anything so
far, it takes time and patience if you’re looking to gain any success or real growth in this industry.

Describe your feelings when you’re recording music in the studio?

My feelings really vary. My mind is all over place and always roaming with different thoughts and ideas
nonstop. I record, make beats, and do all my engineering in my home studio so my mood dictates a lot
of things. I put my studio headphones and instantly get in the zone. I don’t be hearing anything or
anyone around me. It’s perfect. It’s funny and I know a lot of producers can relate to this, but I can start
out going for a smooth, melodic R&B song and then 20 minutes later, my head banging to a whole trap
beat lol. But once I do find the right vibe for a beat, regardless of what it is, I instantly start writing
before the beats are even mixed down and mastered. It helps me keep the mood I’m looking for and
aiming to portray in the song, and helps me go even harder on the producing tip. Everything aids each
other when I put them headphones on. And everything comes from within. No outside influences. No
nothing. Period.

What is the message behind your music?

My music conveys different messages. All of my music comes from my personal experiences and feelings
so everything can easily be relatable on most levels. I’ve dealt with my own demons and manifestations,
so only I could walk in my shoes. But, because I’ve been blessed with the ability to put everything into
song formats, I can draw the masses. I’ve learned that everyone won’t like all of my music, but they will,
at least, like some of it. I can bet on that. I’m always uplifting and motivating others, whether it’s a party
track or an inspirational song about grinding and getting to that bag. And yes, I do have many songs and
ideas where I’m strictly appealing to the beautiful ladies out in the world. So, with my music, pick your
poison. You’ll find what you’re looking for. Trust me.

What do you fear the most in this music business?

It’s not so much of what I fear. It’s more so of what I avoid the most. I always got my eyes open and my
ears to the streets. I come from the land of the scandalous and scammers. So I know what to avoid and
who to avoid. But, it’s funny because as I’m avoiding them, all I run into is the scammers and
impersonators lol. It’s ridiculous. But, I’m not boo boo the fool. You can’t finesse a finesser, real talk.
But, besides that, I’m Gucci on the business. I love everybody and I’m always looking to network and
help one another. But, I do keep my distance until you show you’re proven.

Are you excited to be featured in RNH Magazine?

I am very excited. Everything seems very interesting. I’ve had some very good conversations with
Shantel so I’m really ecstatic and looking forward to working with everyone and seeing us all win and
grow. Let’s get it. All 2018 and beyond.
